Overpants should be taken on every trip as a matter of safety and comfort: why not take a pair that provides both? ONE PLANET® Overpants are developed for antipodean conditions, and made from three-layer Synapse® fabric that balances durability, waterproofness and breathability. Designed to allow movement without restriction, they’re a must when walking on single track, through wet bushes, or in rainy conditions.

When the ominous clouds gather overhead, the spacious cut and long side zip (running from ankle to knee) mean it’s quick and easy to get your Over-pants on. The high waist works well with your rucksack hipbelt: there’s no rubbing or zips digging into hips. When track becomes mud, the integrated gaiter around the ankle adds resistance and protection. The gusseted crutch and articulated, darted knee prevents the pants bunching and allows legs to move freely when pushing through the storm.

SYNAPSE® is a performance, three-layer outer shell fabric.

Designed for durability and comfort in diverse terrain and weather conditions, when active and at rest. Best suited for bushwalking and alpine sports.

The waterproof, windproof, breathable membrane is laminated between a comfortable micro-weave lining and a robust face fabric coated with a non-PFC DWR.

Highly breathable (ISO 11092) RET: less than 9 m2Pa/W.
Highly waterproof (ISO 811): greater than 20,000 mm.

Overpants are the outermost barrier between you and foul weather, generally put on over other layers and boots. The waistband is designed to sit above (or at the top of) your rucksack’s hipbelt.

  • A full-length pant, designed to be put on over hike or XC ski boots.
  • The pants are deeply cut and roomy, with the pant waist sitting comfortably above the rucksacks’ hip belt.
  • Integrated and elasticated 25mm waist belt with a single hand tab pulls easily cinches the waist
  • Articulated knee allows the leg to move freely while bushwalking, scrambling or gliding forward on XC skis.
  • Gusseted in crutch, for comfort during active movements
  • Water-resistant ankle to knee zips makes it easy to slip the over pants straight over your boots and clothing.
  • Integrated abrasion resistant gaiter layer reinforces at the ankle cuff. This protects the main overpants from scuffing mud and scrub. It’s cut with a curve to fit neatly over your boot.
  • The 75 D polyester face fabric is chosen for its burly nature. It is very durable and has high resistance to abrasion and pin pricks, making it excellent for remote pack-carrying trips
