PRE-TRIP

Planning and Logistics – our friendly and experienced staff are here to help with all of your pre-trip planning questions. Where to stay, what to book, when to travel, what equipment you need. We can assist you with all of your planning and logistics questions.

Hire Gear and Purchases – We have a specific range of equipment tested and trusted for all the conditions possible on the Overland Track. Hire a Personal Locator Beacon, some gaiters, a sleeping bag or the whole Overland Track Pack if you need almost everything. If you have questions about your own equipment, give us a call and we can discuss the suitability with you.

Accommodation Discounts – Once you have booked your transport with us, you will receive discount codes to use at accommodation outlets in Launceston and Hobart to help you get the best price for your stay.

Food Discounts – 15% off all Campers Pantry food for your trip, simply enter the discount code on your booking receipt when ordering through Campers Pantry.

LAUNCESTON TO CRADLE MOUNTAIN

Launceston CBD pick-up from your accommodation doorstep.

Free Luggage Storage (For return ticket passengers) 1 luggage item per person (maximum 15kg) additional luggage charges apply. Luggage storage and delivery available to Lake St Clair (for one way passengers). Please contact us for details.

Gear Collection: Collection of fuel and hire gear for your walk is available when you are picked up from your Accommodation. Save time by pre-ordering your PLB, fuel/gas, hire gear and maps and we’ll have them ready for you when you board the Overland Track Transport bus.

Breakfast/Lunch and Coffee: Half way stop in Sheffield where we can get coffee and breakfast/lunch, have a toilet break and visit a supermarket for any last minute items. (the only stop between Launceston and the Cradle Mountain visitor centre)

Safety: 100% safety record with fully accredited drivers so you can be sure you are traveling safely in the Tasmanian mountains.

Expert Advice: With over 250 Overland Track hikes between us, our drivers have all the best information to make your trip on the Overland Track the safest and amazing adventure possible.

Pack fittings at Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre to make sure you have your pack sitting properly. This will improve the enjoyment factor 100% knowing your pack is fitted properly.  

LAKE ST CLAIR TO LAUNCESTON

2:00pm daily departure from Lake St Clair – the only daily regular passenger service from Lake St Clair to Launceston. We depart Lake St Clair every single day of the bushwalking season. (except Christmas Day)

Flexible travel.  If you are a day early or a day later finishing the Overland Track than your booking is for, simply jump on our bus (we are there everyday) for no additional charge. * subject to availability

Collection of Luggage: Safely and securely stored with us while you are on the track.

Airport Drop- Offs: (arrival approx. 4:45pm) CBD Drop-offs 5:00pm.

FREE BEER at Du Cane Brewing – every passenger receives a FREE BEER voucher to Du Cane Brewing in Launceston (1 free beer when ordering one of their amazing pizzas)

LAKE ST CLAIR TO HOBART

2:00pm daily departure from Lake St Clair (does not operate on Sundays or Public Holidays) – the only Licensed regular passenger service from Lake St Clair to Hobart. We depart Lake St Clair 6 days a week of the bushwalking season (1^st October – 30th April, excluding Sundays and Public Holidays)

Flexible travel.  If you are a day early or a day later finishing the Overland Track than your booking is for, simply jump on our bus for no additional charge. * subject to availability.

Collection of Luggage: Safely and securely stored with us while you are on the track.

Hobart CBD accommodation drop-offs (arrival approx. 5:00pm) Airport connection with Skybus at the Old Woolstores Apartments.
