The Adventure Begins

With fully accredited drivers who have all completed the Overland Track in all seasons, our goal is to have you on the track early, fully prepared, feeling confident and ready for your adventure.

Our pick ups from Launceston central accommodation begin at 6:30am so we can depart Launceston by 7:00am as we all want an early start on the track.  With only one stop on the way in Sheffield (the town of murals) at the foothills of majestic Mount Roland, where there is a toilet stop, small supermarket for any last minute supplies and a café stop with the best coffee this side of Lygon St.

We then make our way to Cradle Mountain as we climb our way onto the plateau and arrive at the Cradle Mountain visitor centre where we come in with you and assist with collection of your Overland Track Pass and your National Parks Pass (if you don’t already have your National Parks Pass you can purchase from the visitor centre on the day) This is also where you can fill up your water bottles, experience the last flushing toilet you will see for a few days and speak to Parks staff about any last minute questions you may have.

Then the real excitement begins, we jump back on our bus and take you into the National Park all the way to Ronny Creek (the start of the Overland Track) this saves you time and gets you on the track bright and early so you do not need to make your own way there from the visitor centre on shuttle busses that are used by all visitors to the park.  At Ronny Creek (arriving at 10am) we can weigh your pack for you, offer you sunscreen before you head off, help with pack fittings to ensure your pack is sitting properly, do gear checks and get the all-important photo of you at the trail-head as you set off on your adventure.

Our service includes FREE luggage storage and delivery to Lake St Clair on the day we pick you up (for passengers travelling both ways with us) or luggage storage and delivery to Lake St Clair for one-way passengers is also available (contact us for pricing)

Our buses are fully stocked with both items for sale and hire including Personal Locator Beacons, fuel, maps, hand sanitizer, WonderWool blister prevention, ear plugs (for the noisy huts) and many other items.  All items are also available for pre-booking and we will have these available for your collection when we pick you up from your accommodation. *remember you are not able to fly with fuel canisters or liquid so pre-booking these with us is the easiest option.

As we also run a daily service from Lake St Clair to Launceston, we receive daily updates from other walkers who have just completed the Overland Track that we get to pass on to you on the morning of your walk.  This includes track conditions, side trips, hut conditions, secret spots and highlights from other walkers.

To book your Launceston to Cradle Mountain transport with us on our live booking calendar, simply select your departure date, the number of walkers in your group and your Launceston accommodation pick up point.  You can also add your Lake St Clair to Launceston return transport, any hire gear or products you wish to purchase from our website and then simply make payment for your booking.  You will instantly receive a confirmation email with all of your booking details.

Our drivers have completed the Overland Track over 50 times combined, so let us share our knowledge, experience, love of the National Park and secret spots with you to maximize your Overland Track adventure.

Each of our tickets are $75.00 per person which includes FREE luggage storage (for passengers travelling both ways with us) early morning pick-up from Launceston central accommodation, one stop only on our way to Cradle Mountain, assistance with collection of passes at the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre, transport all the way to Ronny Creek (the start of the Overland Track) and experienced drivers (who are all bushwalkers and completed the Overland Track) who can answer all your questions and share our knowledge and experience on the track to help you maximize your Overland Track experience.

Do you have a group booking of 7 or more?  contact us to receive a group booking discount.

We look forward to having you on board – Sean and Andrew, owners of Overland Track Transport
